Final Outcome

The point of interest in my final video is the "Merry go Round"

A dream with a carousel / merry go round in it means "Going round and round in circles without achievement or progress
A need to play, have fun, be childlike or innocent"
"To see a merry-go-round in your dream, represents innocent joy. This dream can also express anxiety about the transition into adulthood."

And I would like to use symbolism which is usually used by artist.

So to focus to the merry go round, I also use repitition to make so it keep flashing in the viewer's mind.

And the type of the video is a visual documentary as mentioned before.
And hopefully from the video. People would be more interested to come to the place. so the video could be an advertising as well.
Because one of my interest is in advertising field..

Another interesting artist. Who paint with light.
Michael Bosanko. The original sound in the video match with the flow of the light.
Through this I learn that even the place is dark, object could be lighten up by pointing lights through it. So not just flash on camera, and with the colored torch video could be more creative

Found this film director Marty Martin. He is a photographer, editor as well.
The first video is astonishing, the blurry effect and the focus change is smooth.
Composition is also well structured. And music chosen is superb
And all the film is done with correct exposure, and edited the color with Final Cut Pro.
So his things is suitable for my video development. As I've learned a little about Final Cut.

The Footage

Then after a couple of shots. Visited the german christmas market. At first I plan it as one of the scene in the video..
However Cross in my mind to try to generate and develop this kind of theme. Christmas, Place.
One of the interesting thing about this place is. The bright light which set the mood. Even the weather is cold, people still cheerful and gather.

And I would like to develop a video of documentary, while I'm here.

And above is the footage of the shots in the shooting place.

Outcome:

• There are still couple of things lack in there. Like the composition.
• And there are lots of things in there , which could build the video
• The scene should be shorten up, especially the light in the street, or could be add with noises so it's not dull
• Need more artist visual research.
  

First Idea

I would like to choose the city theme.
And the final outcome would be a documentary video.
The reason of that is because I would like to record it for reference for my illustration course.
And also through other it could be a nostalgic video, if let say they move to other country from Birmingham.

So the source of inspirations I get is from the above video..

The Project Brief

The second / final outcome is to make a approximately 3 minutes short film.
